Poco M8 5G is going to be released in India shortly. Xiaomi’s subsidiary has revealed several features of the phone prior to its launch, such as its display, chipset and software support. The device will sport a 6.77-inch 3D curved display.
The Poco M8 5G is expected to use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC for its operations as per the leaked specs. The smartphone will be operated on HyperOS 2 and apart from that, it will also come with a guarantee of four years of Android updates.

The company showcased via a microsite on Flipkart that the Poco M8 5G will sport a 6.77-inch (2392 x 1080 pixels) 3D curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3200 nits. It is also reported to deliver 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and support for Wet Touch 2.0 technology.
Poco M8 5G : According to Xiaomi’s subsidiary, it is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset that will power the next M-series phone. The Poco M7 5G’s benchmark score is said to be 83 percent lower at only around 450,000, based on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip’s AnTuTu score of over 825,000. The chip will be complemented with up to 16GB of RAM, including 8GB of virtual RAM, it has also been confirmed.

Poco M8 5G is claimed to operate on Android 15-based HyperOS 2. The company has assured the users that the device will get four years of Android updates and six years of security patches. Moreover, it has been announced that the device will be updated to Android 16-based HyperOS 3 in the near future.
Earlier, the Poco M8 5G was said by the brand to be a 7.35mm thin and 178g light device. Besides that, it would have an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance as well as SGS MIL-STD-810 certification. In terms of the camera, the new device is believed to come with a 50MP AI-powered main shooter.
The teaser picture reveals a camera module shaped like a square at the center, containing two camera sensors and an LED flash. Poco M8 5G is the next device that is expected to be launched in India on January 8th. The event to announce the launch will be held at 12:00 PM IST, and the phone will be up for sale on Flipkart. It is only natural that there will be more information disclosed at the time of the launch.
